About Pegasus Theory

Pegasus Theory is an everything label. Or a metalabel, if you prefer.

We work with artists across mediums (music, games, and other creative work), to help propel their creations into the world.

Sometimes that means simply publishing a project, but it often involves a more holistic collaboration. 

In the words of Bojack Horseman, “in this terrifying world, all we have are the connections that we make.” That line has stuck with me for years, and it feels even more true now than when it was written.

Pegasus Theory is built around that ethos. That community, art, and shared human experience are the most important things in life, and that everything that can be done to protect and promote those things, well, should be.

Further, we believe, strongly, that artists are never in competition against each other. Art competes with indifference and apathy. With people choosing to stay on their couch instead of going out to the show.

And to that end, when we say, "We are the rising tide", we mean that our goal is not just to support the artists we work with directly, but to be a positive force in the broader creative ecosystem. To lift all ships, as it were.

Who is behind this whole thing?

My name is Zach! For now, Pegasus Theory is just me (and a handful of folks who help out a bit here and there, to who I am eternally grateful). This organization has been a little seedling of an idea in my head for years, but is just now (I'm writing this in Jan '26) really becoming a real entity that does real things. I'll tell you a little bit more about myself, even though this whole thing really isn't about me:

I play in a band called combobox. I've been a musician since I started piano lessons when I was five years old. Played in bands through high school, and then briefly attended Berklee College of Music. I love games of all kinds, and am a proud season ticket holder to Portland's Thorns and Fire.
